The following list of individuals are public Christian Science Practitioners and Christian Science Nurses. Some are listed in The Christian Science Journal. These individuals have given their consent to be listed in this online directory. Christian Science practitioners are available to help bring healing to others through prayer. Their full-time practice of healing is based on the teachings of Christ Jesus and the principles of Christian Science healing found in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy.

You don’t have to attend church or be a Christian Scientist to call on them for help. You may also call them to answer questions about Christian Science. You may contact them in person, by phone, email, or regular mail.

They are not counselors nor do they provide advice. They provide treatment through prayer, which strengthens an individual’s understanding of his or her relationship to God and can bring healing to any situation.

They are self-employed. Fees and payment are determined by the individual practitioner and may be discussed prior to engaging their services.

Christian Science nurses provide spiritual reassurance and skillful physical care to someone relying on Christian Science for healing. Individuals accepted as patients have already engaged the services of a Christian Science practitioner for treatment through prayer.

Christian Science nurses have experienced healings for themselves through their study and practice of Christian Science, as explained in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.

They are part of the worldwide healing mission and ministry of The First Church of Christ, Scientist in Boston, Massachusetts. The standard for Christian Science nurses is as follows, from the Manual of The Mother Church:

A member of The Mother Church who represents himself or herself as a Christian Science nurse shall be one who has a demonstrable knowledge of Christian Science practice, who thoroughly understands the practical wisdom necessary in a sick room, and who can take proper care of the sick.

The cards of such persons may be inserted in The Christian Science Journal under rules established by the publishers.

Fees and payment are determined by individual Christian Science nurses and should be discussed prior to engaging their services.
