Child care is provided for infants and children not old enough to attend Sunday school during both Sunday services and Wednesday testimony meetings.

Our services are designed to promote and share the good news of Christian healing. And we expect that they will bring healing into your life as well.

The founder of our church, Mary Baker Eddy, appointed the Bible and her primary work, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, as pastor of our church. So the centerpiece of the service is a lesson sermon read from these two important books by two church members (“Readers”), elected by the congregation. The lesson sermon consists of citations that each week explore different subjects such as “God,” “Reality,” and “Mortals and Immortals.”  The lesson sermons also explore different synonyms for God such as “Life,” Truth” and “Love.”

The healing atmosphere found at our church services is in part due to the fact that during the week members of the congregation have put into practice the healing ideas found in that week’s lesson sermon. Their joy, gratitude and inspired thoughts help provide an uplifting atmosphere where fresh inspiration can take wing and bring healing right during the church service.

The first half of the meeting each week consists of readings from our pastor (the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures) that the Reader has selected to bring out fresh spiritual perspectives on current issues. Theme-related hymns are sung throughout, and the last half of the meeting is open for members of the congregation to spontaneously share their gratitude for healings, insights and inspiration that they have gained through their study and practice of Christian Science.

Small informal Sunday School classes are held at 10:00 on Sunday morning for young folks in the community up to the age of 20.

The focus of Sunday School is to help young people understand the spiritually inspired Word of the Bible and apply Biblical truths to their daily lives. The younger classes focus on understanding basic teachings such as the Ten Commandments, The Lord's Prayer and popular Bible stories. The older classes learn to apply healing principles to everyday life situations. The teachers are experienced Christian Scientists dedicated to helping young people learn the valuable lessons of the Bible through the teachings of Christian Science.

In addition to our regular services, on Thanksgiving day we hold a special service at 10:00 AM.

The service consists of music, silent prayer and The Lord's Prayer, and the reading of the Thanksgiving Day Proclamations of the President of the United States. The service includes a scriptural selection, short readings from the Bible and from "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. There are also testimonies and a benediction. No collection is taken and all are welcome to attend.
